About this Fabric
Indigo Print fabric uses the distinctive deep blue colour of indigo dye — one of the world's oldest and most valued textile dyes. Natural indigo is derived from the Indigofera plant and produces a rich, slightly uneven blue that deepens with age and washing. Synthetic indigo gives a more uniform colour. We offer indigo fabric in resist print (dabu or wax resist), direct print, tie-dye (shibori inspired), and plain indigo-dyed base. Indigo fabric has a characteristic 'ring' effect where the core of the thread remains undyed — this crocking (rubbing off) is reduced after the first few washes.

Care Instructions
Hand wash in cold water with mild soap for the first 3–4 washes as natural indigo may crock. Do not bleach. Dry in shade. Iron on reverse at medium heat. Avoid harsh detergents — they break down natural indigo faster. The colour will develop a beautiful patina with gentle use.
